Go Nordic Cruiseline is the youngest of the three shipping companies on this portal's Norway routes - and at the same time the one with the longest history. The overnight ferry between Copenhagen and Oslo has been sailing for more than 150 years; only the operator is new. On 1 November 2024, the Swedish shipping company Gotlandsbolaget took over the route from DFDS, along with both ships and around 800 staff, and gave it its current name.

The route between two capitals
The overnight ferry Copenhagen - Oslo departs in the evening and reaches the other capital the following morning. It sails daily in both directions. Besides the one-way crossing, the company also sells the route as a mini cruise: out overnight, a few hours ashore, and back - no hotel, no changing.
For the journey to Norway, this is the only route on this portal that doesn't start in Denmark but in a capital city. Travellers from northern Germany reach Copenhagen via the Fehmarnbelt ferry or overland through Jutland.
Fleet
In service are the cruise ferries Nordic Crown and Nordic Pearl. Both were redesigned after the takeover: the hull carries an aqua green that echoes the colours of the Skagerrak and Kattegat, and the funnel a red G on a white background as a mark of Gotlandsbolaget. On board there are cabins in several categories, restaurants, bars and entertainment - the ships are built as cruise ferries, not purely as transport ferries.
